What is kp and envyi?

KP and Envyi were an American hip-hop duo comprised of Katrina Phillips (KP) and Susan Hedgepath (Envyi). The duo became popular in the mid-1990s with their hit single, "Swing My Way," which reached No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and No. 4 on the R&B/Hip-Hop chart. The song was also nominated for a Grammy Award in 1998. KP and Envyi released one album together, titled "Set It Off," which was released in 1998. However, the album did not have the same success as their hit single. After the release of their album, KP and Envyi parted ways, and both pursued solo careers. Unfortunately, Envyi passed away in 2007 at the age of 32 due to complications from pneumonia. KP continues to work in the music industry as a producer and songwriter.
